Federal Lifeline Program

You may be eligible to receive a discount off your monthly local telephone bill through the Federal Lifeline Program. You must participate in one of the following programs or be below the Federal Poverty Guidelines:

Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)
Supplemental Safety Income (SSI) – Veterans Pension & Survivors Benefit
Additional eligibility criteria may apply to residents of federal recognized tribal lands

Consumers have to provide proof of eligibility upon application for Lifeline service. In addition, consumers must complete a Lifeline application and make certain certifications upon signing up for Lifeline and to agree to re-certify their continued eligibility on an annual basis.
